Setting and Finishing

After the silk has gone through its numerous dye baths, it is hung to dry. Since each batik piece is handmade individually, the colours and designs may vary. As you have gone through the web pages, you may have noticed the vibrant colors and patterns.

At the final stage of the process, all the wax scraped off and the silk dry cleaned to remove all traces of the wax.

On the left, you see the finished silk after all of the wax has been removed, ready to be crafted into it's own unique fashion statement created by "Silks by Suzuki".
